WHAT IS DEAR MR. CASTLE?
In 2009, a famous mystery novelist was brought in for questioning by the NYPD regarding a copy-cat murder. The end result? Richard Castle charmed his way into shadowing one of New York’s finest, Detective Kate Beckett. ABC’s Castle has steadily become one of the most popular TV shows in the world with a legion of passionate fans behind it.

Dear Mr. Castle will be a not-for-profit novel that will feature a compilation of stories, letters and pictures from Castle fans around the globe. The project will be dedicated to Terri Edda Miller, Andrew Marlowe and to every single one of the wonderful individuals who helped create it. Without the writers, the producers, all the people behind the scenes and the beautiful cast, Castle wouldn’t be what it is. Each story, letter and picture will be a small personal fragment representing the fandom, detailing how Castle has impacted and inspired their lives. Our main objective is to shower them with love, thanks yous and the knowledge of how they’ve trasformed thousand of lives.

The deadline for the project has been extended to June 30th 2015. The book will be released for sale in September 2015 with all profits being donated to The Young Storytellers Foundation in honour of Terri Edda Miller and Andrew Marlowe. Copies of the book will also be posted to MilMar and to the Castle set.

1. THE BOOK
The Dear Mr Castle book is your opportunity to put your own personal story into words about how Castle has impacted, inspired and affected your life. Why do you love this show? How much does it mean to you? What part or parts affected you the most? Which character(s) have you felt most connected to? You can compose a simple letter, style it like a story or poem. Just be you. Have fun and be as creative as you want. You ca attach pictures (of you in a costume, with merchandise or a simple selfie) or drawings/digital art (but nothing that uses any copyright images).

Email your submissions to DearMrCastle@gmail.com with ‘Dear Mr. Castle Submission’ as the subject title. Don’t forget to leave your name, age (which is optional), and what country you’re from with your letter. You’re also welcome to leave your twitter handle etc if you wish.  

2. FOR TERRI AND ANDREW
As you may or may not be aware, Terri and Andrew have stepped away from the show after seven wonderful years. We want you to submit short messages (nothing over 150 words) for a special section of the book. This part will be dedicated purely for your messages to MilMar saying thank you for the last seven years, good luck for the future and words of love. Without MilMar there would never have been Castle, therefore, I feel it important that we thank them with all the love in our hearts.
